CBRE acquires Franc Warwick
CBRE has acquired the highly regarded property investment company Franc Warwick. The team at Franc Warwick, led by Franco Sidoli, will be integrated into CBRE’s capital markets group and will have a particular focus on investment transactions, including acquisitions. Franco Sidoli will become an executive director.
Franc Warwick “is regarded as one of the leading UK commercial real estate investment specialists,” CBRE noted. It focuses on capital market transactions, corporate acquisitions and sales, shopping centres, hotels and leisure, industrial property and high street retail and is particularly active in the market for central London property. The firm’s client list “underlines its exceptional reputation,” CBRE added, with clients including F&C REIT, Max Property Group, Prestbury, Land Securities, Conygar Investment Company, AREA, Minerva, Resolution and Gatehouse Bank.
Franco Sidoli said CBRE was the “natural home” for him and his team, given that the UK – and more specifically London – property sector was an increasingly international market, attracting capital from around the globe. “Access to a truly global network of highly experienced investment and other experts is becoming an intrinsic part of our market. It is also increasingly fundamental to the best possible investment advice to have insight in, and access to, all aspects of the occupational markets,” he added.
Martin Samworth, UK Managing Director, CBRE said that the acquisition would “greatly add to our excellent UK offering as well as our business across the board”.
