The development comprises two high bay distribution facilities constructed to an institutional specification including 15 metre haunch height and 50 kNm² floor loading. The units offer 26,894.6 m² (289,500 ft²) and 30,889.3 m² (332,500 ft²) of warehouse accommodation or can be combined to provide 59,781.2 m² (643,500 ft²). There are a range of environmentally sustainable initiatives included in the specification including solar panel water heating system, grey water recycling and wind turbines.
The units are now under construction with completion programmed for the end of December 2007.
Location: The Sheffield International Rail Freight Terminal (SIRFT) is located between Junctions 33 and 34 of the M1 Motorway, to the east of Sheffield City Centre. SIRFT is a unique development in the logistics market providing road and rail access directly to speculatively constructed distribution facilities.
Terms: The units will be available on a leasehold basis for a minimum 5 year term at an initial rent of £XXX ft².
