Next completes line-up at Redhouse – Gent Visick
Specialist industrial property agency Gent Visick has advised AXA Real Estate Investment Managers in letting its 263,000 sq ft warehouse on the Redhouse Interchange estate to Next. The letting, the largest in Yorkshire since the Debenhams letting in November 2010, is on a new 15-year FRI lease.
The industrial unit in Doncaster let to Next was built in 2007 and had previously been occupied by Asda on a short-term basis while the food retailer reorganised its distribution chain.
Andrew Gent from Gent Visick notes that all the existing units on the estate are now occupied, leaving only one remaining 17-acre plot for future development at this location. He says the letting to Next “is indicative of the growing strength of the internet sector in the UK”.
AXA REIM said the letting of the unit to Next without a void was “a fantastic result”. CBRE advised Next.
