South East’s top five office ‘hot spots’
Data released from NovaLoca reveals Oxford and Brighton as most popular areas for offices in the South East.
NovaLoca, the leading commercial property search expert, has today revealed the five most sought after areas for office space in the South East. Oxford and Brighton, while many miles apart, have both attracted significantly more interest than other cities such as Reading, Milton Keynes and Southampton, according to data sourced from NovaLoca’s commercial listing service and Google Analytics.
In addition the data also provides a nationwide picture, showing that along with the south-east powerhouses of London and Berkshire, regional hubs such as Merseyside, Lothian and Avon are also proving to be in high demand.
For the rest of the country the following destinations also made the top of NovaLoca’s list:
Commenting on the data Miranda Munn, owner and founder of the commercial property listing company NovaLoca says:
“The number of enquiries we receive is always a good indicator of the current confidence in the market. During 2013 we have witnessed a high and steady level of enquiries for office premises in the South East via email. The outlook for 2014 also looks extremely promising and based on January’s figures we predict email enquiries to be up almost 70 per cent in Q1 compare to Q4 2013.
“Oxford and Brighton are the most popular office locations in the South East region, as reflected by recent high-profile moves such as TripAdvisor’s expansion into Oxford Science Park. We have also witnessed significant interest in areas such as Reading and Milton Keynes as well”.
About NovaLoca’s methodology
NovaLoca’s list of office hotspots is based on the Google Analytics database of online search terms. By taking over 15,000 names (towns and area names) in the UK and combining them with the search term ‘office space’, NovaLoca analysed activity over one month in 2013 to identify the most sought after areas in the country.
