Aviation supplier comes into land at new base
A global aviation component supplier is launching a new UK base near London, commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond announced today.
The unnamed specialist in aftermarket aircraft parts has agreed a 10-year lease on an 11,420 sq ft warehouse/logistics unit at 17 Brick Knoll Park in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
A semi-detached production warehouse unit, the property benefits from a comprehensive refurbishment and upgrading including PV panels, new double glazed windows, LED lighting, new profile steel sheet insulated roof and re-clad elevations.
Eamon Kennedy, head of the industrial and logistics team, completed the deal on behalf of the institutional landlord.
He said: “It was important for the new occupier, which supplies aviation components to customers across the world, to be within a short distance of both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The unit in St Albans is in an excellent location and has been refurbished to a very high standard, providing them with the ideal base from which to operate successfully for many years to come.
“We were delighted to complete the deal on behalf of our long-term client. It’s also great news for St Albans, bringing investment and potential new jobs to the area.”
