The bunker, comprising over one million tonnes of reinforced concrete, was meticulously broken up using explosives. The resulting material was repurposed as hardcore for various infrastructure projects throughout Fife, showcasing a sustainable approach to redevelopment.
The comprehensive remediation works were completed in early 2023, laying the groundwork for the creation of up to 1.2 million square feet of employment space across 120 acres of land.
