GM Property Management: Industrial estate full as new units near completion
Commercial occupancy has peaked at Moss Industrial Estate in Leigh, Greater Manchester, just one year after GM Property Management took over the running of the industrial estate.
Every unit on the 600,000 sq. ft industrial estate is now full of commercial tenants and, with just five months to go until the completion of six brand new high-spec units on the estate, demand is expected to be high.
Earlier this year, George Moss & Sons, the owners of Moss Industrial Estate, announced a multi-million-pound investment in Centenary Court; the construction of six ‘Grade A’ industrial units, totalling 26,000 sq ft.
Centenary Court, named to commemorate the 100-year-old family business, is being built on a regenerated part of the industrial estate.
Built to the highest specification, with steel portal frames and highly insulated with noise cancelling materials throughout, the new units at Centenary Court will range from 3,880 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft. They will be spacious, light and energy efficient, complete with solar panels and electric car charging.
Moss Industrial Estate, on St. Helen’s Road in Leigh, is home to over 100 businesses of varying sizes and industries. Alongside the construction of Centenary Court, GM Property Management manages over 600,000 sq. ft. of commercial property at Moss Industrial Estate. Its building expertise has enabled it to manage a constant refurbishment programme and implement a range of sustainability initiatives, alongside 24/7 security and landscaping services.
Sebastian Moss, fifth generation owner of Moss Industrial Estate, said: “GM Property Management provides a first-class service to our tenants. They have made some huge improvements to the estate over the last year and the fact that the estate is now full is testament to that. The estate is better maintained, presented, and more secure as a result and our customers find it to be a great place to work and the perfect location for their businesses.”
Dave Willmore, head of estates at GM Property Management Ltd, said: “With the normal and expected movement of small commercial businesses, it is highly unusual to reach 100 per cent capacity but we are delighted to have hit this milestone one year after GM Property Management was formed.
“This shows that the investment George Moss & Sons has made in developing new state-of-the-art energy efficient units was the right move. Centenary Court offers modern industrial businesses convenience and connectivity, in addition to building innovation and we are extremely proud of our latest development.”
Moss Industrial Estate is in a prime location, bordered by Pennington Flash country park and within easy access of key transport links, including the M6 and M62 motorways.
GM Property Management specialises in commercial property management, lettings and refurbishments, offering landlords a full suite of services.
Prospective tenants are invited to view the remaining units on Centenary Court, which are due to be completed in November 2024. To view one of these units, please contact Dave Willmore, Head of Estates, on 01942 671231.
