Powys commercial property locations
Powys, the largest county in Wales, forms much of the Welsh border with England, sharing a border with the English counties of Herefordshire and Shropshire. It also shares borders with the Welsh counties of Clwyd, Gwynedd, Dyfed, West Glamorgan, Mid Glamorgan and Gwent. The mountainous terrain ensures that industrial areas are concentrated in the south, around Ystradgynlais. With no cities, the population of Powys is centralised around villages and small towns, the largest of these being Newtown, which forms the main commercial and retail centre. Newtown has commercial office property to sell, industrial property for rent and retail units to buy. The administrative centre of Powys, however, is Llandrindod Wells, and this too contains shops to buy, office space to rent and commercial property in the heart of Wales.
The A483 runs through eastern Powys, which provides a link between the north and south of the county. The A458 and A470 give access to the west of the county and further into Wales, maintaining strong links between commercial business property in the area and other commercial property in the surrounding areas.
