Location
The pony paddock is situated at ordnance survey grid reference SP051455. It is accessed via a track which passes between residential houses known as Wharfavon and Greval House. The track passes through a glasshouse nursery and entrance to the paddock is via a gate in the northwest corner of the paddock.
The paddock lies at the southern edge of Offenham village. The village is famous for its maypole, it has a church, public house and village stores. It is regarded as being a popular location to live, the village being surrounded by an enormous amount of horticultural industry. Offenham lies approximately 2 miles to the north of Evesham.
Evesham is a small market town with a population of approximately 26,000 people. Local facilities include a hospital, schools, sports clubs, a range of retail shops and out of town retail outlets serving the local community. Evesham has an active tourist industry and the town centre forms a focal point around the River Avon.
Road communications to the surrounding areas are excellent, Junction 9 of the M5 motorway is approximately 10 miles distant at Tewkesbury, Junction 6 of the M5 is approximately 15 miles distant at Worcester. There is also good access to the M40 being approximately 25 miles distant and the M42 south of Birmingham is approximately 22 miles away. Evesham also benefits from a mainline railway station connecting London (Paddington) to Hereford, the line from Evesham to Oxford was twin tracked in 2012.
Leave Evesham on the B4035 (Elm Road), take the left-hand turning onto the road for Offenham (B4510) and proceed to Offenham Cross. At Offenham Cross turn left, proceed towards the village centre, the track is situated on the left hand side between Wharfavon and Greval House. The track is approximately 270 meters distant and leads into the north west corner of the pony paddock.
