La Taverna, Grampian Road, Aviemore, Inverness-shire PH22 1PT, Aviemore, PH22 1PT

3,411 Sq Ft / Leisure / Restaurants / Cafes

Withdrawn - Last updated: 22 May 2017

La Taverna offers an authentic, continental atmosphere, enhanced by the delightful alpine-style oil painted illustrations by local artist Ann Vastano, which  decorate the wooden beams and pillars throughout.

The restaurant, situated at the entrance to an extensive holiday complex, has developed over the years on the site of a traditional ski chalet to become a vibrant and attractive eating and meeting place for locals and visitors to the area.

A seventy space car park is located adjacent to the property and attractive exterior patio area is popular with customers in fine weather.

The property has been developed in an attractive alpine style and features a number of dining areas, a recently refurbished bar and meeting area along with ladies and gents WC all to the ground floor.

La Taverna caters for approx. 125,000 covers per annum and it should also be noted that the restaurant currently closes for six to seven weeks each year. For personal reasons, the current owners restrict business hours by not opening until 12:00 noon and this, coupled with the holiday closures represents an opportunity for a new owner to significantly uplift turnover by increasing service hours.

Also at ground floor level are excellent large, well planned kitchen facilities, store rooms, walk in refrigeration, cellar and staff facilities.

The Business has established itself as a very popular destination venue, serving good quality Italian food. La Taverna has traded profitably for many years and the current owners are selling to pursue their other interests.

The business has generated increased turnover consistently over recent years, with the most recent year showing a turnover of £1.58m in y/e October 2016, with a further increase being evident during the current year. Full accounts and trading information will be made available to bona-fide enquirers through their appointed agents or solicitors.
