Planning - A number of planning applications have been submitted on the site over the years.

Application WD/04/0231/F - This was an application for extending the rear of the pub to provide additional seating. This was granted in August 2004 but was not implemented.

Application WD/2006/3262/F - This was an application for the erection of a rear extension the same as the previous application but with the addition of 10 bed & breakfast rooms on the 1st floor. This was approved in February 2007 but not implemented.

Application WD/2016/0537/F - This was an application to install in the overflow car park a new concrete apron with gully, interceptor & drainage to existing pump house for a car wash area ancillary to the existing public house. The existing small shed currently used for storage was to be used for plant & equipment for the car wash. This was granted with conditions in June 2016 and was implemented. The car wash continues in operation currently. Some of the original conditions have been removed.
