Location Highlights



The property is situated on the west side of Pentewan Road (B3273) which is the main road between St Austell and Mevagissey that passes alongside the River Austell. Pentewan and its sandy beach is approximately 1 mile to the south. St Austell is around 4 miles to the north and Mevagissey 3 miles to the south. The park is set in a small valley and the surrounding area is predominantly rural with several areas of mature woodland. Adjoining the southern boundary there is a nursery nursery

The area is located close to the south Cornwall coastline between St Austell and the Roseland Peninsula to the south which lies between the River Fal to the west and Tregony to the east. The area is known for its cliffs interspersed with small inlets and coves along with several small fishing villages. Mevagissey is probably the largest fishing village and is now a popular tourist and residential location. The Lost Gardens of Heligan , a sister location to the Eden Project, is around 4 miles from the park.

St Austell (population 19,958) is one of the principal towns on Cornwall's south coast and was once one of the main centres for china clay production. The town is also home to St Austell Brewery. It is now one of the main service and administrative centres in the area with an increasing reliance on tourism. The nearby Eden Project is Cornwall's largest visitor attraction with over 1 million visitors in 2017 making it the 31st most popular visitor attraction in the UK (ALVA). The town is situated approximately 8 miles south of the A30 which is the county's main spine road and provides direct access to Exeter and Junction 31 of the M5 motorway, approximately 68 miles to the northeast.
