Withdrawn - Last updated: 10 April 2018
Nicky Tams is one of Stirling's institutions and one of its oldest public houses dating back to 1718. The public house is located on Baker Street at the top end of the leisure circuit in Stirling. The property occupies the ground and first floor a traditional tenement building. The bar has a traditional public house feel with wooden panelling and small intimate seating areas on the ground floor and a larger open plan seating area on the first floor.
The business is that of a very well run public house, providing a simple traditional menu for bar meals and a busy drinks trade. The premises benefits from a 1 am licence on a Friday and Saturday night. The bar is popular with locals and the active student market who frequent the premises at the weekends. The current operators also put on live music, pub quizzes, special events and obtain a 2 am licence for holidays and festivals throughout the year. We understand that barrelage is high at around 300-350 barrels per annum. Accounts for the business will be shown to seriously interested parties following a formal viewing of the premises.
The EPC rating for the property is G.
