Kirkconnell Hall Hotel, Ecclefechan, Ecclefechan, DG11 3JH
not specified / Other
Withdrawn - Last updated: 16 April 2019
The Kirkconnel Hall Hotel is sited some 10 miles north of Gretna Green, in a very visible and prominent position near to Junction 19 of the M74. The small village of Ecclefechan has some very notable past residents including Thomas Carlyle and Archibald Arnott (Napoleon's Doctor at St Helena), who once owned Kirkconnel Hall.
This stunning Country House Hotel lies in approximate 3.2 acres of its own grounds and dates back to the early 15th C. The main building is constructed in red sandstone with accommodation over three principal floors under a pitched slate covered roof.
The business is that of a traditional Country House Hotel run by a husband and wife team. They currently trade the business to suit their own requirements and therefore there is significant scope for a younger more enthusiastic owner, perhaps chef to trade, to develop and very successful business from the property.
The EPC rating will be provided upon request. A copy of the action plan will be made available.
