CLOSING DATE 2.30PM, FRIDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2023
Kilns House is a substantial largely two-storey sandstone-built villa which was built in 1852. The main building has a mainly pitch slated roof. Layout plans are available for the ground and first floors on request.
Originally a residential property, it was bought by Falkirk Council’s predecessors in 1954 to be used as offices by the Burgh Architects Department and other departments. Following decades of use as such, the property was most recently occupied as the then Community Services headquarters. The building has, however, been vacant since 2005 and is now in a poor condition.
For further information about the history of the property. The Falkirk History Society has an interesting article on the history of “Kilns” by G.B. Bailey:

Potential uses, subject to all necessary consents, including planning, include re-use for office space or hotel/restaurant/leisure use, as well as conversion back to residential use, either as a single dwellinghouse or subdivided into two or more units.
