The exterior is constructed from coursed red sandstone with red ashlar dressings, raised base, and ashlar cill and lintel courses. A segmental-arched, five-light window sits beneath the apex, while flat ogee-arched windows are positioned on the first floor. Coped eaves and a polished blocking course crown the tower, with red ashlar quoins and detailed surrounds completing the facade.
