Stone Pier Yard occupies a prime position close to the entrance of the River Hamble in the village of Warsash, with the M27 motorway just over 3 miles to the north east it offers excellent transport links to the A3/A3M and beyond to the M25. The River Hamble attracts both racing and cruising yachts from around the world due to its close proximity to the Solent and the popular South Coast harbours. The yard has been a private yacht repair facility for more than 100 years with Lord Stalbridge naming the site 'Stone Pier Yard' in the 1930's. During World War II it became HMS Tormentor and was used as the base for the 'Southern Command Combined Operations Training Centre. Today the site is under new management and undergoing a refurbishment. It offers industrial and workshop space suitable for a wide range of marine business uses including boat building, repair, service and maintenance. The marina offers berthing for 40 yachts and areas of hard standing are available if required (subject to additional cost).
