Gartcosh Business Interchange comprises the former Gartcosh Rolling Mill site, which extends to a total site area of approximately 210 acres. The site is located to the east of Gartcosh village and is bounded on the south by the Airdrie to Glasgow railway line and to the west by the M73 motorway. The site is accessed via Lochend Road over the M73 connecting with the A752 at Gartcosh, or alternatively via the new dedicated M73 interchange at Junction 2A. Gartcosh Business Interchange comprises of a total commercial development land area of approximately 150 acres, together with a surrounding 60 acre nature reserve / mature woodland. Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council, with European Regional Development funding and Scottish Executive Challenge funding support, have invested over 25m into the regeneration of the site to date.These extensive infrastructure and preparation works complete the site transformation into a marketable business location capable of accommodating up to approximately 1.7 million sq ft of commercial floor space.
