Cygnet Properties & Leisure Plc was formed by the Virani Family. The aim of the Company from its outset has been to invest in the UK property market. The family has had a long history in property, spanning multiple continents and generations. Nazmu Virani came to England from Uganda in 1972 and quickly entered the Business world to make a name for himself and secure his family’s future. Today the business is further bolstered by the next generation of the family with the invaluable benefit of these decades of experience.
Cygnet Properties & Leisure Plc has a broad portfolio of investments, with a focus on multi-let serviced offices. We also have a number of units that are let on long leases to covenants including Barclays Bank and Thomas Cook, so it is a diverse and secure portfolio.
The company has grown organically over almost two decades and careful investment has yielded a very stable position with remarkably low gearing. This financial strength gives agility that will allow purchases to be made swiftly from cash reserves. And when this is coupled with streamlined decision making it is clear that the company will always be ready to mobilise for the right opportunity.
Investment STRATEGY

This may be in the form of achieving planning permission, enhancing the rental stream, carrying out a refurbishment or expanding the built area of the site. By using our own asset managers and paying close attention to all costs and receivables we are also confident that we can achieve a better return on an investment than our competition. Our ability to proceed without bank debt, together with stream-lined decision making and expedited transactions, offer a considerable advantage for vendors in the current uncertain economic climate.
