Ashington is situated approximately 17 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 5 miles east of Morpeth. The town can be accessed via the A189 and A197, which in turn link with the A19 and A1 respectively. Nearby Morpeth railway station provides regional rail services as well as regular services to Newcastle Central Station, which provides regular onward connections to Edinburgh and London Kings Cross. Additonally numerous bus routes serve the area and Newcastle International Airport lies approximately 201 miles to the south east of the town.
Station Road is the principle retail thoroughfare in the town centre with the property lying on its north side at the junction with John Street. The pitch is pedestrianised and benefits from a wide pavement following recent investment in the town centre.
