Egremont lies on the edge of the Lake District National Park about 43 miles south west of Carlisle, 28 miles south west of Keswick and 5 miles south west of Whitehaven. It can be accessed via the A595 (Egremont Bypass) and the A5086 with the M6 motorway being accessible via the A66 approximately 45 miles to the east. Nearby St Bees railway station provides regional rail services and local bus services provide access to surrounding towns and villages.
