Hawick lies in the Scottish Borders approximately 9 miles south east of Selkirk and 47 miles south east of Edinburgh. It can be accessed via the A7 and A698 with the A7 providing access to Edinburgh to the north and junction 44 of the M6 motorway to the south at Carlisle. Regional rail services can be found at nearby Tweedbank railway station and national rail services can be accessed at Carlisle railway station. Additionally numerous bus routes serve the area.
